saiah Trammell, a 19-year-old with autism, tragically died after a mental health crisis led to his arrest in March 2023.
Reports reveal a shocking sequence of events at Montgomery County Jail in Ohio, where Trammell was subjected to taunts, belittlement, and threats by nine guards. As he begged for medication, guards reportedly mocked him, calling him “ridiculous,” “embarrassing,” and saying he was “acting like an a**.”

Video footage obtained by The Columbus Dispatch captures the harrowing scene, showing Trammell’s desperate pleas for medication, a phone call, and a blanket all of which were ignored.
Within 10 hours of his arrival at the jail, Trammell was taken to the hospital, where he died three days later. The coroner has ruled his death a suicide.

This is unwarranted torture. Guards, I’m sure had some type of training to deal with a disturbed individual. This shouldn’t have happened. I can’t believe ONE guard not having some sense. Guards must be held responsible for the death of this young man.
