At a spirited rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, New York Giants icons Lawrence Taylor and Ottis “O.J.” Anderson rallied the crowd with unexpected appearances in support of Donald Trump’s latest campaign event.
Greeted by Trump himself, the duo stepped up to the mic amidst thunderous applause from an overwhelming crowd, estimated to be nearly 100,000 strong.
Lawrence Taylor, taking the stage, declared a shift in political loyalty sparked by Trump. “I was a Democrat all my life until I met this man,” Taylor proclaimed. “Now, there’s no going back for me or my family.”

When it was Anderson’s turn, he expressed his excitement and gratitude. “Isn’t Lawrence incredible?” he said to the crowd, which hadn’t dwindled in the slightest. “Thanks for staying, for all your enthusiasm. And let’s hear it for Metro Exhibits for making today possible all thanks to your support!”
President Trump warmly acknowledged the Giants’ legends as they concluded their remarks, noting their friendly disagreements. “They’re terrific, aren’t they? Great on the golf course, great friends, even if we don’t always agree,” Trump commented.

Reflecting on their illustrious careers, Anderson, a 1979 first-round draft pick for the then-St. Louis Cardinals, found new vigor with the Giants post-1986 trade, notably clinching the Super Bowl XXV MVP. Honored in the Giants’ Ring of Honor in 2022, Anderson remains a beloved figure.
Taylor, a revolutionary figure in football, was a 1981 first-round draft pick for the Giants. Known for reshaping defensive and offensive play, Taylor is celebrated as possibly the greatest player ever. A first-ballot Hall of Famer in 1999, he saw his No. 56 jersey retired in 1994 after numerous accolades, including three Defensive Player of the Year titles and a league MVP award.
