In a disturbing scene reminiscent of the violent clashes in Charlottesville, Virginia, a throng of individuals, espousing anti-Semitic sentiments, descended upon Columbia University’s campus armed with torches. The mob, invoking the term “intifada,” unleashed threats targeting Jewish students, creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation.
“Never forget the 7th of October. That will happen not one more time, not five more times, not 10”100”1000”10,000”The 7th of October is going to be every day for you,” the protesters bellowed, instilling dread among the campus community.

Concerns over the safety of Jewish students have escalated, with Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) highlighting the palpable fear gripping the university.
During congressional testimony, Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY) accused Columbia University President Dr. Nemat “Minouche” Shafik of engaging in a cover-up to protect a “pro-terrorist” professor who celebrated the October 7 attacks. Stefanik issued a stern warning, emphasizing the seriousness of misleading Congress.

“President Shafik must be reminded that misleading Congress is a felony,” Stefanik asserted, underscoring the urgency for action. Despite assurances from Shafik, there has been a notable lack of disciplinary measures against Professor Joseph Massad, whose alleged anti-Semitic and pro-terrorist rhetoric has sparked outrage.
Stefanik further criticized Columbia University’s attempts to downplay the controversy, pointing out discrepancies in their portrayal of Massad’s status. Despite purported commitments to address the issue, Massad remains in his position, with no apparent efforts from the university to address his inflammatory remarks.
