Conservative activist Scott Presler finds himself at the center of controversy as reports emerge that he won’t be leading a crucial ballot harvesting initiative for the Republican National Committee (RNC) in the lead-up to the 2024 presidential race.
NBC, in what can only be described as a biased hit piece, labeled Presler as a “conspiracy theorist” while discussing his potential role in organizing voter registration and mail-in voting efforts for Donald Trump. The move was seen as a counterbalance to the well-oiled Democratic machinery for ballot harvesting and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) operations.

However, an RNC spokesperson clarified that while Presler remains a valuable asset to the party, he won’t be directly employed due to his continued focus on his nonprofit organization, Early Vote Action, dedicated to mobilizing Republican voters for early voting.
Despite the setback, Presler received an endorsement from Lara Trump, newly-appointed RNC co-chair and daughter-in-law of former President Trump. She lauded Presler’s efforts in voter activation and expressed alignment with his goal of increasing voter turnout for the upcoming election.

While Lara Trump had expressed interest in employing Presler for the ballot harvesting operation, NBC’s reporting garnered attention by echoing Democratic criticism, branding Presler as an “election-denying conspiracy theorist.”
This narrative was further fueled by Alex Floyd, the Democratic National Committee’s rapid response director, who denounced Presler’s involvement with the RNC.

Notably absent from NBC’s coverage was any mention of the numerous instances where prominent Democratic figures have disputed election results they didn’t favor a fact that underscores the partisan nature of the reporting.
