A prominent figure in conservative circles finds herself in the legal crosshairs after being accused of participating in the events of January 6, 2021, at the US Capitol. Isabella Maria DeLuca, a social media influencer with a substantial following of over 333,000 on X, was apprehended in California last Friday, over three years since the Capitol chaos unfolded.

The 24-year-old Long Island native, previously a congressional intern, stands accused of aiding in the removal of a table from a US Senate terrace room during the unrest. Federal authorities allege that this table was then used to confront law enforcement officers guarding the Lower West Terrace Tunnel, escalating tensions further.

According to an affidavit penned by an FBI agent, footage purportedly shows DeLuca entering Capitol conference rooms through a broken window, allegedly involved in the transportation of the table. Additional images place her in restricted areas around the Capitol on January 6.

DeLuca faces a string of misdemeanor charges, including theft of government property, disorderly conduct, and entering a restricted area.

Court documents reveal DeLuca’s social media activity both during and after the Capitol riot, where she detailed her experiences, including encounters with law enforcement. Despite legal challenges, she expressed gratitude for support received and shared a legal defense fund, which garnered substantial contributions.

With roots in Setauket, DeLuca previously interned for former Representative Lee Zeldin and Representative Paul Gosar, along with a stint as a media associate for the Gold Institute for International Strategy until their recent separation.

She now joins the ranks of over 1,300 individuals facing charges related to the Capitol attack.
