BREAKING: Trump Posts $91.6 Million Bond in E. Jean Carroll Defamation Suit
Donald Trump has submitted a $91.6 million bond in the E. Jean Carroll defamation case, a move required despite his ongoing appeal. Should Trump emerge victorious in the appeals court, there’s a chance for reimbursement.

On Friday, Trump took further action by filing a notice of appeal of the judgment to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Compliance with either paying the judgment or posting a bond for the full amount was necessary for him to proceed with the appeal.
The ex-president secured an appeals bond from the Virginia-based Federal Insurance Company amounting to $91,630,000 to address the $83 million judgment in the case, inclusive of interest. This development emerged from a court filing on Friday morning.

“President Trump respectfully requests that this Court recognize the supersedeas bond obtained by President Trump in the sum of $91,630,000.00 and approve it as adequate and sufficient to stay the enforcement of the Judgment, to the extent that the Judgment awards damages, pending the ultimate disposition of President Trump’s appeal,” Trump attorney Alina Habba said in Friday’s filing.Â
Trump Attorney Alana Habba says they are confident Trump’s judgement will be overturned.
“Due to the numerous prejudicial errors made at the lower level, we are highly confident that the Second Circuit will overturn this egregious judgment,” Habba said.

However, the financial saga continues for Trump as New York Judge Arthur Engoron orders him to shell out over $450 million. Despite boasting $413 million in liquid assets and a net worth estimated at $2.6 billion, this ruling poses a significant financial challenge for the former president.
