Former professional wrestler turned congressional hopeful, Daniel Rodimer, finds himself in the crosshairs of law enforcement as authorities confirm he is wanted in connection with a homicide case from the Las Vegas Strip last year.

According to reports, a criminal complaint and arrest warrant have been issued against Rodimer in Las Vegas Justice Court for the charge of open murder. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has linked him to the death of 47-year-old Christopher Tapp.

Initial reports from LVMPD suggested that Tapp sustained injuries purportedly from an incident at Resorts World Las Vegas on October 29. Sadly, he succumbed to these injuries later in the hospital. Investigations revealed that Tapp was involved in a brawl inside a hotel room, leading to his tragic demise. The Clark County Coroner’s office confirmed his death as a homicide, citing blunt force trauma to the head as the cause.

The criminal complaint filed by the Clark County District Attorney’s office alleges that Rodimer deliberately and willfully killed Tapp by striking him on the head, with premeditation evident in the act.

Details of the ongoing investigation remain scant, but Rodimer’s past has come under scrutiny. A former professional wrestler known in the ring as Dan Rodman, he ventured into politics with unsuccessful bids for congressional seats in Nevada and Texas. Despite three prior arrests in Florida for alleged assault, Rodimer had no prior convictions. In 2018, Las Vegas police responded to calls from his now-wife alleging domestic violence and theft of firearms and jewelry, although Rodimer was not detained or charged in connection with these incidents.

Meanwhile, Christopher Tapp’s life story adds another layer of tragedy to this case. Wrongfully convicted of a murder in Idaho in 1996, Tapp served two decades behind bars before DNA evidence cleared his name, pointing to another suspect.
