Former President Trump is gearing up to make his mark at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) later this month, as per the recent announcement by the organization.

Trump has been confirmed as one of the speakers for the event, scheduled from February 21st to 24th in National Harbor, Maryland, just a stone’s throw away from the nation’s capital.

“CPAC doesn’t hide its support for Donald Trump; we’re fully committed,” declared CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp, revealing Trump’s inclusion in the speaker lineup on Steve Bannon’s “War Room.” Schlapp added, “Donald Trump is poised to make his fourteenth appearance at CPAC next month, and it’s bound to be a record-breaking event.”

Other notable figures set to address the gathering of conservative minds include Vivek Ramaswamy, who recently halted his presidential campaign to endorse Trump, and Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), who has been floated as a possible vice presidential candidate for Trump.

Donald Trump has been a regular speaker at the conservative conference since as far back as 2011, well before his entry into electoral politics. The yearly event draws prominent activists, elected officials, and key figures within the GOP, making this year’s conference in Washington a significant gathering in the lead-up to the upcoming Election Day.

It remains uncertain whether Trump’s only remaining rival for the GOP nomination, former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, received an invitation to this year’s CPAC conference. Haley is actively campaigning in South Carolina, the next pivotal state to hold a GOP contest, with hopes to narrow Trump’s substantial lead in the polls. The Hill has reached out to CPAC and Haley’s campaign for clarification on her participation.

Last month, CPAC gave an enthusiastic endorsement of Trump’s presidential bid. The former president solidified his front-runner status in the GOP by securing a resounding victory in last month’s Iowa caucuses with a 30-point lead and winning the New Hampshire primary by an 11-point margin. All of this, despite facing ongoing legal battles, including multiple criminal indictments, as he continues his campaign to “Make America Great Again.”

CPAC summed it up in a statement last month, saying, “As conditions at the border, the economy, and our culture face daily challenges, one individual has once again captured the hearts and minds of conservatives with his unwavering commitment to the vision of Making America Great Again.”
