For the better part of a year, Conservative Activists in North Florida have encouraged locals to “follow the money”.

We decided to do just that by examining the disbursements from one local GOP. What we found is alarming. There seem to be multiple reported occasions of spending to a company by the name of Converging Currents. This totals several thousand dollars of spending.

On the surface this doesn’t appear to be a big deal, however things are not always as they appear. I decided to take a deeper look at what Converging Currents is.

Converging currents is registered to Diane R. Dew.

The business address listed with Sunbiz is Dew’s residential address, and the mailing address listed is actually a mailbox in a UPS Store.

That alone is enough to raise red flags, however that isn’t the only issue with this questionable business relationship.

The Republican Party of Florida has a process for business relationships with board members.

Do you believe recent efforts to tighten border enforcement will reduce illegal immigration this year?

By completing the poll, you agree to receive emails from The DC Patriot, occasional offers from our partners and that you've read and agree to our privacy policy and legal statement.

Diane Dew is the District 4 Chair of the Saint Johns County GOP. Was this financial relationship disclosed to the RPOF as stated in their own Constitution?

This isn’t the first instance of questionable finances involving this particular branch of the Republican Party of Florida.

In 2024 they reported $3,000 in donations from a local St. Johns county man by the name of Sergio Ibarra.

Again on the surface this looks to be completely normal. The issue here is that I actually know Sergio Ibarra. The Sergio Ibarra in Saint Augustine is retired Navy sailor. I was able to locate a Sergio Ibarra who is a doctor, however. Oddly the Sergio Ibarra I found is a doctor in Houston, Texas. Is this a case of identity theft by the local GOP?

I also spoke to the brother of the former acting chair of the Saint Johns County GOP who stated that he spoke directly with Ibarra prior to the election installing fraudulent chairman Denver Cook. When Ibarra was informed of the illegal tactics being deployed to install Cook he simply stated, “it doesn’t matter if it is right or wrong, it is good strategy”.

Keep in mind that Angelica Gross recently accused The DC Patriot of identity theft over a picture that had not been updated on our website. This appears to be another example of projection from the Indivisible Infiltrators. There are many questions surrounding the finances of this local GOP, yet RPOF chairman Evan Power has yet to become involved.

In addition to the other 2 potential crimes listed above, I recently spoke with Shelia Sweeney. Sheila is listed on the local supervisor of elections website as having received a reimbursement from the local GOP. Although the dollar amount is low, Sheila has stated to me that she did not receive a reimbursement from the local party.

It is important to keep in mind that none of the membership has been able to view the party’s bank records. If this organization is willing to lie about a less than 3.00 transaction, what else are they willing to lie about?

Republicans must decide if they are truly a party of law, order, and principles or if they are only that when it suits their needs. This is an evolving story
