For the better part of a year, Conservative Activists in North Florida have encouraged locals to “follow the money”.

We decided to do just that by examining the disbursements from one local GOP. What we found is alarming. There seem to be multiple reported occasions of spending to a company by the name of Converging Currents. This totals several thousand dollars of spending.

On the surface this doesn’t appear to be a big deal, however things are not always as they appear. I decided to take a deeper look at what Converging Currents is.

Converging currents is registered to Diane R. Dew.

The business address listed with Sunbiz is Dew’s residential address, and the mailing address listed is actually a mailbox in a UPS Store.

That alone is enough to raise red flags, however that isn’t the only issue with this questionable business relationship.
The Republican Party of Florida has a process for business relationships with board members.

Diane Dew is the District 4 Chair of the Saint Johns County GOP. Was this financial relationship disclosed to the RPOF as stated in their own Constitution?
This isn’t the first instance of questionable finances involving this particular branch of the Republican Party of Florida.
In 2024 they reported $3,000 in donations from a local St. Johns county man by the name of Sergio Ibarra.

Again on the surface this looks to be completely normal. The issue here is that I actually know Sergio Ibarra. The Sergio Ibarra in Saint Augustine is retired Navy sailor. I was able to locate a Sergio Ibarra who is a doctor, however. Oddly the Sergio Ibarra I found is a doctor in Houston, Texas. Is this a case of identity theft by the local GOP?

I also spoke to the brother of the former acting chair of the Saint Johns County GOP who stated that he spoke directly with Ibarra prior to the election installing fraudulent chairman Denver Cook. When Ibarra was informed of the illegal tactics being deployed to install Cook he simply stated, “it doesn’t matter if it is right or wrong, it is good strategy”.
Keep in mind that Angelica Gross recently accused The DC Patriot of identity theft over a picture that had not been updated on our website. This appears to be another example of projection from the Indivisible Infiltrators. There are many questions surrounding the finances of this local GOP, yet RPOF chairman Evan Power has yet to become involved.
In addition to the other 2 potential crimes listed above, I recently spoke with Shelia Sweeney. Sheila is listed on the local supervisor of elections website as having received a reimbursement from the local GOP. Although the dollar amount is low, Sheila has stated to me that she did not receive a reimbursement from the local party.

It is important to keep in mind that none of the membership has been able to view the party’s bank records. If this organization is willing to lie about a less than 3.00 transaction, what else are they willing to lie about?
Republicans must decide if they are truly a party of law, order, and principles or if they are only that when it suits their needs. This is an evolving story

Just as swampy as Georgia Republicans
Can you please State concisely what the two potential crimes are? I read the article, but I don’t see the crimes. Thank you.
This is serious. the RPOF continues to alllow the SJC REC to get away with theft, unaccountability, cover-ups and blatant illegal endorsements and voter guides! It made a huge difference in our local Primary. Diane Dew is also the campaign manager for some of the Nicole Crosby/Blake Patterson candidates. Thank you for your work here, Tim..
Turn it over to the St Johns States Attorney for fraud prosecution!
Tim,
Thanks for highlighting the clerical error in my occupation line of the donation. Since reading your article, I am working with the REC to fix the error. I remind you that the REC staff are volunteers of our peers and local patriots, errors can occur as most of us are not professional bookkeepers, but nonetheless, errors are unacceptable. Thanks for pointing it out. That line is 100% incorrect, it should read “Military Retired.” I appreciate your research and diligence.
I made those donations myself during two separate REC administrations to help the REC pay rent and keep the lights on at our home base which is necessary to support local candidates and President Trump’s efforts to move forward during a time of what I feel are false accusations and lawfare against our President. Florida is a conservative stronghold, I believe we should preserve our bases to maintain strong support.
If you look up my donations you’ll see that I donate to President Trump as often as I can and would do more if I had room in my budget as I’m sure most of us would.
I served this country on active duty for 22.5 years. I gave the country my 20’s, 30’s and half my 40’s, and it was an honor to serve both as an enlisted man and an Officer, I hope that I served well. I strive to continue to live my life based on those same core principles of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. I was tremendously happy under President Trump as Commander in Chief, Trump is an absolute fighter. I never met the man in person, but I know for certain he had our back.
Pretty sure you and I agree on 90+% of our politics. If you want to talk it out and outline our differences, I’m happy to discuss, you have my number, but I’d prefer we talk in person like the old days so we can shake hands afterwards. America is stronger when guys like you and I can define challenges and align resources. We don’t have to agree on everything, but what we do agree on can improve our positive impact.
Round 1 is on me.
I define our top 3 issues as: Illicit drugs, illegal immigration, and dangerous inflation. I am on America’s side and I think you are too even though your top three may be different.
This election is critical, I’d like to see President Trump win in November. It will be difficult to win and even harder to keep, but if we all pitch in what we can, some with time, others with finance, all of us with prayer, We the People can be unstoppable.
We have a common threat to our future beyond this election as well, I’d like great men and great women of SJC to focus on preserving our Constitution and reducing the size of government. Those that can lead and have a strong moral compass should be supported to run for local office, I donate to help provide that support and I’d like to think it helped patriots get elected. I think SJC sent a message all the way up the food chain that we are unhappy with the current slide away from conservative values. Yet only 25% of our county voted which means we have room to improve.
I supported your attempt for office a couple years back. I remember you and I coordinated a class back in 2022 where you taught local SJC residents the basics and importance of legal concealed carry. It was a great class that led to multiple certifications. That class made a difference in at least 10 SJC households. I appreciate your time and effort to help others exercise their 2A rights. That is a leadership quality that I think we should foster in our communities.
Those are the issues I support. If you want to point out a flaw in my opinion, I’m happy to listen and learn something new. If it makes our country stronger, I am all ears. If we disagree, I’m happy to civilly discuss.
I know God puts people in our lives for a reason, maybe this article was meant for you and I to meet up and bridge this divide between our brothers and sisters. Only God knows, but I’m willing to discuss if you are. I only represent myself, but if this is step 1 in God’s plan, I’m in 100%. I often pray that the Lord show us our role in HIS plan. I’m in.
I’m not a politician. I’m just an American trying to preserve this beacon of freedom, just like you. If we are blessed with extra resources, we find ways to help those that can lead and those that need help in our community. I applaud those who knock doors and register voters, they are the real tip of the spear, all I can do is provide a fraction of the resources to help them. I hope that my donations helped us knock at least one more door, or hand out one more flyer. To those of you that did the hard work, I appreciate you!
Happy to meet so we can figure this out and MAGA. To everyone out there who has a disagreement with a patriot in our community, send them a text or an email and invite them to coffee to work it out. Democrats would love for us to divide our efforts. I don’t think we should give them what they desire. Especially if the price is a cup of coffee. If we can get this one step right, collectively, we have an easier path forward.
Respectfully-
S. Ibarra

Absolutely caught in a lie, Sergio.
FYI folks, he’s one of the people who were part of the embezzlement.
The Board with exception of me (the whistle-blower) was taking donations in the name of the Republican Party and Trump and spending it on their own campaigns and candidates.
Random participants like Sergio Ibarra agreed to allow money to be funneled via their names.
The people doing that, didn’t know what he did for a living, so they listed him as a doctor because they Googled his name.
There’s a Sergio Ibarra who is a doctor up first on a Google search.
No one is going to meet you turds in person so that you can entrap them in a battery charge like ya’ll did with Sheila.
