On the day before the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, a massive short order was placed. Yes, stocks get shorted on a daily basis, however this was not a standard short. This short was for 12 million shares, which equates to nearly 9% of all outstanding shares.

The company in question would have stood to profit over 400 million dollars had the value of the shares went to 0.

I fully expected to find a major investment firm like JP Morgan Chase, Vanguard Group or Fidelity Investments behind a trade of this size. What I found instead was a small boutique investment firm in Austin Texas called Austin Private Wealth.

The firm boasts about giving back to their community and here are the organizations listed on their website as receiving support.

With the exception of a handful of organizations their website appears mostly nonpolitical, so I decided to take a look at the executives listed on their website and the ties that they may have.

There are 23 employees listed on their website, however only one caught my attention.

Sarah McNutt is listed as the Vice President of Operations for Austin Private Wealth. Sarah’s bio on the company’s website is relatively bland. It states that her husband introduced her to Dungeons and Dragons and speaks of her work life. What I did find interesting is that in 2020, Sarah was a max donor to Joe Biden’s election campaign.

In the world of politics there are no conspiracies, however there are no coincidences either. I have reached out to Sarah directly via email. This story will be updated should she provide a comment. I find the odds of a company that is managed by a Biden max donor, shorting a Donald Trump stock less than 24 hours before an attempt on Donald Trump’s life highly suspicious. It remains to be seen how the rest of this story will unfold.
