Nashville police arrested Sean Herman this morning on two counts of felony official misconduct for his involvement in the OnlyFans skit last month. Herman, who was on duty on April 26, was observed in the video allegedly groping the woman. Initially, it was unclear whether he was on duty or off duty, but he was reportedly seen wearing his full uniform and had his squad car present during the incident.
Police Chief John Drake directed that the investigation continue after Herman was fired, leading to his indictment. NewsChannel 5 Investigates initially broke the story after receiving tips about a potential MNPD officer appearing in an OnlyFans video. MNPD had reportedly become aware of the video the day before and promptly launched an investigation.
According to reports, Sean Herman was in the Madison area to film the OnlyFans video, which happened to be the same precinct he covered as a patrol officer. It has been revealed that the couple in the video orchestrated the stunt with Herman. However, in the weeks following the incident, NewsChannel 5 Investigates uncovered that it was actually Herman who proposed the idea for the stunt. This additional information sheds light on Herman’s active participation and initiative in the situation.
In the video, Herman identifies himself as “Officer Johnson” before being invited to reach for the woman’s breasts.
We see Herman’s shoulder for a brief moment, which had what appeared to be the Metro Nashville logo.
Herman was fired shortly after, since he was already on a “Last Chance” agreement for prior infractions with fellow officers.
Police say they found out about the video, the day before we called, after several tips were sent to NewsChannel 5 Investigates.
They said Herman was already on a “Last Chance” agreement for misconduct with other officers, which is why he was fired the very next day.
Herman’s bond was set at $3,000.
He was with the department for three years before his firing.
