Breaking News: Pro-life activist Lauren Handy has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison for her role in obstructing access to a Washington, D.C. abortion clinic in 2020.
The conviction came after authorities discovered five fetuses at Handy’s residence in Washington following her indictment. Prosecutors revealed that Handy had directed her co-defendants to use locks and chains to physically chain themselves together, effectively blockading the clinic.

During the incident, which occurred on October 22, 2020, Handy and her associates were recorded singing hymns and praying, while accusing the clinic of committing infanticide. This event was captured on a livestream video.
Handy faced charges under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act and was found guilty of conspiracy against rights. She received a 57-month prison sentence for her actions.
