Dan Bongino Offers Up Insight on The Path To Victory for 2024

In the midst of the House of Representatives passing the $1.2TRILLION Dollar Omnibus, Rep. Mike Gallagher, R-Wis., dropped a bombshell today, stating that he would not finish out his term, and leave office on April 12th, 2024.  He’d announce prior that he wouldn’t be seeking re-election, and has unexpectedly fast tracked his departure date.

This comes on the heels of Rep. Ken Buck’s, R-CO., move to also step down, whose last day in Congress was today.  Buck had announced he wouldn’t seek re-election November 2023, and decided to fast track his exit as well.  Buck started the domino effect of departing representatives, and when he initially made the announcement, he cryptically stated, “I think it’s the next three people that leave, that they’re going to worry about.”

With Gallagher declaring his departure date today leaving the GOP with a 216-213 majority (allowing for only one defector from the GOP), the heads of the conservative base are spinning.  Fortunately, Dan Bongino, host of the wildly popular “The Dan Bongino Show” on Rumble, offered up some insight that might explain what’s really behind these departures, stating, “Now, I’m pretty convinced Ken Buck and the others may be involved in an even bigger scandal””

Rep Mike Gallagher R-WI announced his departure is scheduled for April 12th, leaving the GOP Majority to a slim 216-213

During his daily show, Dan Bongino floats an idea; though it might seem a bit far-fetched for Congress to ultimately decide the 2024 election, diving into the possibilities should raise eyebrows.  In the wake of the multiple Congressional departures, as well as the rising poll numbers of presidential Candidate Robert Kennedy Jr, the stage is set for a different trajectory on how the 2024 election could play out.

In states like Colorado, which as Bongino explains, was once traditionally red, went purple, and now seems to be a solid blue state, could steer away from the two-party system.  Colorado is a state that RFK Jr is polling well in, some polls are as high 30% among voters.  In this scenario, that leaves roughly 70% of remaining voters, to be divided between Biden and Trump, who are polling neck and neck.

If one of the two prominent candidates can’t secure the required 270 electoral votes, due to states like Colorado, the Electoral College system is bypassed, and sent to The House of Representative to determine the vote.  Each state’s delegation comes together to submit 1 vote, and the President is decided by who garners at least 26 votes.

The two Representatives who have stepped down have made it no secret they aren’t on “The Trump Train” going into 2024.  Buck has repeatedly expressed his frustration with Trump’s reaction to the 2020 election results, and Gallagher has been a staunch NATO supporter, disagreed on Trump’s rhetoric on Russia, and other topics.  And though both Congressmen voted against both of Trumps’ impeachments, the wave of Republican departures from The House, can be indicative of a few things.

One idea, is that they’ve simply grown tired of the turmoil within the House GOP.  Dan Bongino offers another take: if 3-5 members of the House GOP depart, that leaves the vote to the Democrats of the states, “So why would Ken Buck, and three other members of Congress be leaving?  Maybe it’s because they don’t want to vote for Donald Trump.  And maybe they want to clean a pathway in case this 3rd party candidate, or ”˜No Labels’ gets in”and the thing goes to The House, and they want The House of Representatives to be dominated by democrats, right before an election.”

Stock up for Long Term Survival

Headline Dan Bongino references that claimed (15 days before the 2016 Election), “Donald Trump’s chances of winning are zero”

Though Bongino thinks in all likelihood, there’s a 5% chance of it playing out like this, he also reminds his audience, that back in 2016, a headline from an article written by Chris Cillizza (15 days before the election), “Donald Trumps’ chances of winning are approaching zero.”

The fact remains, with RFK Jr’s continued rise in the polls (expected to get a boost with his VP announcement next week), the path to 270 might not be feasible, and this could very well end up in the hands of whoever is left in Congress.
