This is absolutely absurd, and what tyranny looks like. Tucker Carlson is an American citizen, and the fact that American Congressional and Senate members aren’t speaking out about this is a disgrace.

The Biden White House and the State Department should also mention that they will issue sanctions against any nation that tries to silence free speech, but they won’t do that because Tucker is a conservative journalist.

This is so bad that even Brian Krassenstein, one of the biggest liberal activists in America is backing Tucker Carlson on this insanity.

Krassenstein made the following post on Elon Musk’s X platform.

BREAKING: The European Union is said to be seeking sanctions and a “travel ban” against Tucker Carlson for his interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

I never thought I would be defending Tucker Carlson so much within a period of a couple days, but once again, if you support freedom then you should support Tucker’s right to interview Putin, just like many others have in the past.

I’m sure much of what Putin will say will be lies, embellishments and inaccuracies. Putin is the one who should be sanctioned further, not an American who is asking Putin questions.

The ‘risks’ of this interview for Tucker shouldn’t be sanctions from US allies.

Even X/Twitter, Space X, Starlink, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk chimed in on how ridiculous this is.

If true, this would be disturbing indeed.

One may agree with Tucker or not, but he is a major American journalist and such an action would greatly offend the American public.

The following is from Newsweek:

One European diplomatic official, who did not wish to be named as they were not authorized to speak publicly, told Newsweek that any future travel restrictions would likely require proof that he is linked to Moscow’s aggression, something that “is absent or hard to prove.”

Still, Luis Garicano, a former MEP, told Newsweek he agreed with Verhofstadt’s stance. “He is no longer a newsman, but a propagandist for the most heinous regime on European soil and the one which is most dangerous to our peace and security,” Garicano said of Carlson.

“First of all, it should be remembered that Putin is not just a president of an aggressor country, but he is wanted by the International Criminal Court and accused of genocide and war crimes,” MEP Urmas Paet, who previously served as Estonia’s foreign minister, told Newsweek.

This is a developing story.
