By now you probably heard of the passing of the legendary country singer and songwriter Toby Keith. Keith passed away late February 5th after a long hard fought battle with cancer.
What many of you may not know, is he’s responsible for launching the career of one Taylor Swift. You know, the Taylor Swift that you can’t get off your TV screens during an NFL football game involving one of the top franchises in recent memory, the Kansas City Chiefs.
In fact, Toby Keith signed Taylor Swift to his record label when no one else would, but where is that version of Taylor Swift? The young girl who just loved to play and write music, who respected America, who respected those who came before her?
As our founder at The DC Patriot Matt Couch points out, what will she say about her former mentor, and the man who jump started and launched her now legendary career? Apparently nothing.
Check out the video below of a young Taylor Swift ogling the thought of working with a legend like Toby Keith.

Toby signed her to his record label and gave her, her start..
Hope she recognizes that today.. like she should..

When is @taylorswift13 going to share some words about Toby Keith? The man who discovered her, got her the 1st record deal? Taylor, where are you today? #TobyKeith
