In a shocking incident captured on video, a migrant mob brutally attacked two NYPD officers near Times Square over the weekend. Despite the severity of the assault, the suspects were released back onto the streets without bail, according to sources.

The footage shows the two officers initially trying to disperse the group of migrants before they were quickly overwhelmed by the aggressive mob. The officers were mercilessly kicked and beaten as the crowd fled the scene.

Four suspects were eventually apprehended by the police, identified as Darwin Andres Gomez Izquiel, Kelvin Servat Arocha, Juarez Wilson, and Yorman Reveron. All four were charged with assault but were released without bail, raising concerns about the safety of New York’s Finest.

The two assaulted officers suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene. One sustained cuts to the face while the other had bruising to the body.

One of the suspects, Yorman Reveron, has two open cases in Manhattan for assault and robbery, including a recent incident at a Nordstrom Rack where he allegedly “pushed, punched, and bit” an employee who caught him stealing.

Patrick Hendry, president of the Police Benevolent Association, expressed concern over the growing trend of attacks on police officers and the lack of support from the justice system in protecting them while they perform their duties.

The incident is not an isolated event, as migrants from the US border with Mexico have been flooding into the Big Apple since the spring of 2022, with over 172,000 migrants arriving in the city. A small percentage of these migrants have been linked to various crimes, including a fatal stabbing at a city shelter on Randall’s Island in January.

In addition to the growing crime rates, residents near the Floyd Bennett Field migrant tent shelter in Brooklyn have complained about “lawlessness” by the occupants there. Furthermore, by September, over 40 migrants had been arrested at the Roosevelt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, the city’s intake center for the thousands of migrants arriving in the city.

As the situation in New York City continues to escalate, the safety of both the residents and the police officers is at stake, and the need for a solution to the growing migrant crisis is more urgent than ever.
